The Many Uses of Tempered Glass Sheets

Tempered glass sheets are the strongest glass in interior design and are specially heat treated to make them harder to break. Tempered glass panels can be heated to extremely high temperatures and then cooled quickly, making them fragile and strong. Compared to untreated glass, a tempered glass sheet is four to five times stronger and eight times more impact resistant than untempered glass. It will shatter into smaller pieces, which is much more dangerous than broken glass. Tempered glass is also heat resistant, so it can withstand temperatures up to 320 degrees Celsius (or 608 degrees Fahrenheit”), unlike ordinary glass that decomposes at around 100 degrees Celsius (or 220 degrees Fahrenheit).

Tempered Glass Sheets: Applications

Bookshelves and display cases

Tempered glass panels can be used in display cases, bookcases, bedroom cabinets, multimedia cabinets and shelves. They can be used in offices or stores to create display stands, showcases, shelf glass and multimedia stands. Floating glass shelves are a unique way to use them. They work at home and in the workplace.

Desktop and Tabletop

Tempered glass makes excellent table tops or desktops. They are heat resistant, scratch resistant and extremely tough. They are great for kitchen, bathroom, table and desk tops, and for covering patio furniture with tablecloths. They are perfect for use in offices as coffee tables, table tops, desks and conference tables.

Room dividers

Tempered glass panels are used for partition walls in commercial buildings and office spaces. These panels have the right combination of properties. These panels are transparent and clear enough to allow you to see your surroundings while still protecting your privacy.
